Dr. Larry provides
Christian psychotherapy for adolescents and their families that
includes help with
poor school performance, anger, depression, anxiety and peer
relationships. No lasting change can
occur without family participation, and therefore Dr. Larry also
invites the adolescent's family to take
part in family sessions.
Dr. Larry also works with you who are part of a blended family,
who have been in foster care, and are
in a single parent home. The focus of Dr. Larry's Christian
therapy is to assist the individuals in
changing behaviors that are counterproductive and problematic.
The goal is to aid them in learning
how to get along with peers at school, how to be a good student
and how to better their relationship
with their parents.
On the more "severe" end of things, e.g. teens on
probation; looking at expulsion or chronic
suspensions; or even being placed permanently outside of their
home, Dr. Larry is known as the
"Man with the alternative plan" according to an unnamed
Family Court Judge. "Once again, a
Christ-filled team of people who believe in our teens by showing
and doing, not just talking, is the
alternative plan that this judge so frequently refers to." -
