building from theground up!

OUR PURPOSE

We exist to reveal the love of Jesus Christ to all people and to equip them
to share His love. This will be fulfilled by: Acts 2:42-47 Worship The placing
of Jesus Christ as the Head of all church activities. . Word The process by which
each believer grows into spiritual maturity. . Welcome The practice of love,
forgiveness and acceptance shared by effective ministry to one another.
Witness The presentation and proclamation of the Gospel to the whole world. .

THE VISION

We will build mature followers of Jesus Christ by presenting God's Word in
powerful and practical ways, while providing a place for people of all ages,
races, and color to encounter the presence of God, love the people of God,
and grow the kingdom of God. A Foursquare Church. Sunday Services 9:30 am
at the Residence Inn, 2101 W. Vineyard Avenue, Oxnard, CA

Founded and incorporated 40 years ago, we are a small, effective
community of Lutheran Christians who know that we are "Saved by
Grace Through Faith Alone". At about 100 members we pride ourselves
on being a family in Christ Jesus, a loving, supporting, nurturing family.
We demonstrate Christ's love in our lives through our Pre-School,
community service, and reaching out to others in the name of Jesus.
As a "small" congregation we make have a large community presence
through the many programs in which our members participate;
Annual Crop Walk Hospital volunteer programs The Food Pantry
Therapy Dogs Shut-in visitation local redevelopment agencies
Ventura County Children's Board Maritime Ministries at the Port of
Hueneme Lutheran Brotherhood and many more.
We are the Friendliest Little Church in Town!

Grace Bible Church GBC is a NEW CHURCH PLANTING EFFORT in
Oxnard. GBC desires to plan a strong, independent Bible-believing church
in this area to meet the growing spiritual needs of the surrounding community.

We invite you to "check us out" and consider becoming a part of GBC. We
are looking for families and individuals that God would lead to join with us in
establishing a Bible church in this area.

Although the roots of the church go back many years, GBC is a new church
with a very young ministry!

As we grow numerically and finances permit, more programs are planned,
especially for YOUNG FAMILES & CHILDREN.

9:30—Bible study for all ages. This program offers a variety of Bible study
classes focusing on in-depth analysis of various books and subjects of the
Bible and related issues.

10:30—Morning Worship Celebration. This service is a combination of
tradition and non-traditional worship styles. It is a "come as you are" event
no ties or formal dress needed. It offers worship teams, contemporary and
traditional music, singing and expository preaching/teaching on various books
of the Bible.

Children's church—around 11:05 children are dismissed for their own special
time together.

Sunday 3:00 ; 5:00 AWANA Program. This is an exciting program for kids.
AWANA stands for "Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed." It is a children's
program for ages 3 and up and is based somewhat on the boy-and girl-scout
models. AWANA involves great activities, Scripture memorization and fun!

Wednesdays 6:00 CHOIR.
Wednesdays 7:00 Mid-week Bible study in an informal setting with Pastor
Dave. 7:00 p.m. Fridays every third Friday of each month. FRIDAY is
FAMILY NIGHT at GBC. Just bring the kids and yourselves and enjoy a
BIG-SCREEN movie, or just have some popcorn, refreshments and fun
fellowship.
