Regardless of your faith background, we’d love to have you come visit us. Don’t worry – you don’t need any kind of spiritual resume to experience God with our community. In our unique and diverse group, you will get a taste of what it means to be a part of Christ’s church. You will probably have a chance to share a piece of who you are – a perspective, an experience, an opinion, a prayer – during the course of the service. Please feel free to take any opportunity to participate – we’d love to hear your thoughts. On the other hand, you’re quite welcome to sit back and get your bearings first. We can promise you that you won’t be harassed to become a member (because we don’t have any formal membership) or challenged to defend your truth claims. It’s hard to explain, but we’re just not about that. We spend more of our time just trying to live authentically with one another.
We usually meet at 10am at Jammin’ Java (address above) on the first three Sundays of the month, but our schedule changes sometimes. If you’d like to visit, please check our website at commontable.org to find out where we’ll be!
We’re a lay-led community in which most decisions are made by group consensus – either of the whole congregation, or the team responsible for the ministry or activity. We do have a Leadership Team (currently consisting of two women and two men) who are charged with keeping the whole church within their range of concern.
