With over 74,000 members in the United States and 850,000 members worldwide, Free Methodist churches are evangelical in nature. The Free Methodist Church is a Methodist Christian denomination within the holiness movement and they put distinctive emphasis on teaching about entire sanctification. Entire sanctification is where Christians can attain a state of holiness in which believers are made free from original sin, or depravity, and where there is a total love for God and others wrought by the infilling of the Holy Spirit.
