After being widowed at 33, Peggy decided to go to college for the first time since graduating from high school.
Peggy started at Dutchess Community College for her Associate and won an academic scholarship to Pace University for her undergraduate work. She graduated Cum Laude and was then accepted in an accelerated Masters program at SUNY Albany. Peggy receive her MS in Counseling Psychology and also passed the national certification test for a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC).
Peg did her internship at St. Mary’s hospital in Amsterdam NY, and was hired full time after she received her degree. She carried a case load for individual counseling and ran multiple group counseling activities. Her areas of expertise are in grief , abuse as well as family counseling. In 1995 Peggy was injured and was not able to work a full time job again. She offers her expertise and time as a ministry of White Stone Chapel. This is a free ministry and any funds donated are given directly to the church.
