Fellowship of Malankara Indian Orthodox Community in the Northern
Virginia and Washington, DC metropolitan areas. We are a member of
the Oriental Orthodox family.

We believe Jesus Christ is the solution to life’s problems and the answer

to life’s questions. Our desire is to help people know Him better and to

find real, lasting meaning.

Every person is on a spiritual journey in life; some are simply more aware
of this than others. You may be just beginning to recognize this spiritual
dimension to life; or you may have been consciously walking the path for
years. Evergreen Church invites you to come as you are, wherever you
are on your journey. We currently meet for worship Sundays at 10:00 am,
at Evergreen Mill Elementary School.

We have church services every Sunday. All are welcome to attend.
The Orthodox Church is possibly the oldest Christian religion; it’s
based off the teachings of the Apostles

Our Purpose: To be Christ’s presence in our community;to encourage
growth in our relationship to Christ and each other. We exist to worship
Christ sincerely, serve Him graciously in effective ministry and to love
one another unconditionally.

We are hearts living out the Gospel of Jesus Christ, not just professing it.
Through Just for Jesus, an integral part of our church where we gather with other
Christians to remember the work of the Cross and the moment of our salvation,
we are fulfilling Jesus’s prayer in John 17, for all of us to be one just as He and the
Father are one. Through this ministry, we are fulfilling Matthew 25, by clothing the naked,
feeding the hungry, giving drink to the thirsty, visiting the sick and those in prison and
housing the homeless, we also are offering free trade education to help our brothers
and sisters in need. We have 2 shelters/crisis centers with more on the way, a horse farm,
several vehicles,a camper, and many other things.

We believe in the Trinity-the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We believe the Bible is the inspired,
infallible word of God. We believe in the work of the Cross. We believe in living out the life of
Jesus. In our church we learn the Word as the apostles would have heard it from Jesus Christ.
Because of our faith,we are learning to become like Jesus by resembling him. We stand in our
armour to show that we are warriors for Christ. We use the beatitudes as our inner defenses,
and the fruit of the Spirit are our weapons. We aren’t going to heaven, but rather we are becoming
heaven.

Bible Churches are independent and nondenominational, whose purpose is to reach the lost with the gospel of Jesus Christ and build lives on the firm foundation of the Word of God. Bible Churches exist to help people grow spiritually, have a strong understanding of the Bible, and to encourage them towards fruitful Christian service. The ministry from the pulpit consists primarily of the exposition of Scripture, with life-centered application for families and individuals of all ages. In a Bible Church, you will often see that people are more important than the church programs and the nurturing of lives is more important than the numbers in attendance. Success is measured in terms of the spiritual growth and maturity of the people, rather than the size of the offering. It is a place where one can step aside from the world to be refreshed by the Word in the company of a loving church family. If you are interested in more Bible churches, please browse our site to find a church.
