Gospel Fellowship Church is a small Family Church in the Brandon and Tampa area dedicated to Preaching, Teaching, and Reaching the Community for Christ. We meet every Sunday from 10:30am-11:30am at the Crosstown Executive Suites, Suite #7 located at 1503 S. US Hwy 301, Tampa, FL 33619 (http://www.crosstownexecutivesuites.com/).
The foundation of our faith is founded on the established and inerrant word of God (Old and New Testament) and the finished work of Jesus Christ on the Cross at Golgotha for sins of Man. We are Baptistic in doctrine and welcome all who desire to praise the wonderful name of Jesus and His holy word. We believe there is one interpretation of the word of God, but multiple applications. We believe scripture interprets scripture and lends itself to being complete thus validating there being but one interpretation of the word of God. God had an initial intent when He led his prophets and Apostles to pen His words – one intent and one interpretation. We adhere to 2 Tim 3:16-17 whereby it states “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.” We believe God is One God revealed in three persons (triune). We are a “whosoever believes” church body. We believe “God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for the ungodly†(Rom 5:8). We believe God is “…not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance†(2 Pet 3:9). We do NOT believe in Universalism (every man will be saved). We believe man is drawn by the power of the Holy Spirit unto salvation. We believe God has provided man free will and man is responsible for responding to the calling of the Holy Spirit to receive Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior. We believe Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life and no man comes to Father unless they come through Jesus (John 14:6). We believe there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved and that name is Christ Jesus the Lord (Acts 4:12). We believe salvation is eternally secure and cannot be lost. We also believe NOT every man will come to Jesus on His [Jesus] terms and therefore will NOT be saved from penalty of their sin called hell due to their rejection of the Holy Spirit’s drawing as they were “not willing†(Matt 23:37, Luke 13:34).
We are NON-charismatic. We acknowledge that the gifts of tongues were KNOWN languages as revealed in Acts 2:7-11 and NOT strange utterances as has been practiced in the 20th century and is practiced in 21st century so as to appear to be more righteous and holy (outwardly). We do NOT believe in nor practice being “slain in the spirit†as there is no Biblical precedence in neither the Old or New Testament. We do NOT believe man has the ability to heal man, but that through prayer Jesus and Jesus alone heals man in accordance to His will whether or not it [His will] is clear to man.
Gospel Fellowship Church believes the Church body (Ecclesia) is to come together regardless of age. Our church services are termed “Family Worship†as service is conducted with children and the children are not taken elsewhere during service (i.e. children’s church, Sunday School, etc.).
