Hillcrest is a church which seeks to “Proclaim Christ in all we say and do.” By this, we mean we desire that everyone hears about and comes to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Knowing that our actions speak louder than words, we seek to serve those God puts around us in our community, as well as around the country and even the world.

Mighty Fortress is a congregation of confessional Lutheran Christians, and is a member of the American Association of Lutheran Churches, a congregation in fellowship with the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod (LCMS). We use the traditional liturgy from The Lutheran Hymnal, and hold fast to the historic Lutheran confessional principle that the 66 books of the Holy Bible are the divinely inspired Word of God, and are entirely without error or contradiction. Therefore the Bible is the only rule and norm for faith, life, and doctrine. We’re proud to say that we are “Church…just like you remember it!”
Remembering the Christian Faith and the Christ centered church that is our inheritance, we of Friedens United Church of Christ see our purpose of building on that heritage by nurturing our people for a mission of mercy, love, and justice in the world.
